After and during Graduation the main question a student faces is how to choose his first job. A person learns most form his first job and that learning helps him throughout his carrier. Some students get calls from more then one organization and then they find it difficult to decide which one to join. The main points of consideration are salary, company and nature of work.
Most of the people give priority to the above mentioned things in the same order as I have mentioned them. But there can’t be a definite guideline for this as this is very much dependent on your long term carrier goal. The most important that one should think of is the nature of job and the work environment , think what interests you??? Will you feel gr8 developing some application or finding error in some module (QA) or application, one can excel in his work only when he loves his job. So first try to find what interests you more.
Abt Startups:
Other thing is that when you are joining a smaller company or startup don’t expect them to spend a lot of money on your training as they can’t afford it. So join a startup only in case you like challenges and have the confidence that you will be able to face them independently. Here advantage is that you can volunteer for more responsibilities but then again just taking them is not going to help, you should be able to fulfilling them too.
